Our church had a one week "Unleashing Creativity" week where we were encouraged to go to the art room & create! Psalms 8 was to be our inspiration. I took Annie to work one night. While we waited for our Starbucks (Don't all artists sip vanilla steamers?) I read Annie the verses to see if she was inpired. When I finished reading the passage she just said, "An octopus...a rainbow octopus." from verse 8 talking about God's majesty in His creation:
8 the birds of the air,
and the fish of the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.
9 O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
So a rainbow octopus is what we made!
We had soooo much fun working together.
Creating together!
We left the art room wearing just about as much glitter as the octopus.
What a great idea! I LOVE the glitter octopus- but I believe you when you say you were wearing as much glitter as theoctupus!!!- you are such a brave mom!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, Lord , how majestic is your name!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea! Love the rainbow octopus! Love glitter! Love the concentration on Annie's face as she's working, and the satisfaction in the next pic! Beautiful!
Blessings!
Ha! I love that! I'd wondered what the inspiration was behind the sparkly rainbow octopus. Great job, Annie!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures show so much love between you, your daughter ( let's not forget that glitter octopus). As ususal i feel i should do more as a mother and you are my best inspiration.
