Creepy

I am a tosser, McDonald's toys, broken toys or old kid art projects...into the garbage they go.  If I have to pick up little pieces of toys they usually end up in the garbage quickly.  Recently I discovered a stash of item "rescued" from the trash under the couch.  Let me tell you, it was NOT pretty.  I knew right away who the guilty one was:
We were all hanging out in the family room & Annie was cuddled up with her dad.  I was telling Kelly (hubby) about it, "It seems we have a dumpster diver in the family."  & I told him about the stash under the couch.  When he looked at her she just smiled big & let out a huge happy sigh, "Ahhhhhh!  I love a morning dive."

So my chances of cutting her off are not good :)

But there is one thing that I have thrown away & thrown away & he keeps coming back:

Can you see why it is a little creepy?
I can't even tell you how many times I have thrown him away!
But somehow he keeps popping up...

It is a bit like a bad horror movie :)

I am going to have to take drastic measures & stick him on the bottom of the trash & take him out to the garage...so if you don't hear from me for a few days....be afraid....be very afraid.  :)

True story...although the last few pics were rigged by me.

  4. about the chopper:
OXO brand at Target by the salad spinners... in the 20 dollar range. Totally worth it if it means the kids will eat salads. :)
    LOVE pears in salads too!

  8. Oh, I must confess I think he is ADORABLE. But then...finding him in my fridge or on my pillow and me having a split second thought that perhaps he got himself there, well...THAT'S creepy. But I cracked up at this post. Seriously, a daily dose of your blog is all I need to put a smile on my face ALL DAY LONG! And your Annie...could she be any cuter? My Ella walks around with what I call...trash. The straw from her juice box, a sticker that won't stick anymore, and a leaf from outside can be found clenched in her fist at any given time. And I have seen that little head in the garbage once or twice yelling that I threw away her wad of dryer lint. Oh, I know. I know.

  9. Too funny!! I could not say NO to Annie's cute face.
As a kid I found enjoyment in collecting little things like your little "screaming square"! I can blame all of it on my grandma though. She started it with showing me her collection of old bottles in her nightstand, and having me pick one for myself. That started my love of "little treasures"...:)
    Happy Thanksgiving!

  13. Aww, I think creepy little guy is cute.
We have our own hoarder here. She's 6. I can throw out very little if she's around. I'm learning to do it while she's gone.

  14. Libbie, yikes! That thing is kinda like a nightmare creature. Wonder if you dressed him up and put a wig on, if he would look better?

  15. I have the same problem with my daughter...and she's 17 years old. I can't throw anything away...she's like a homeless person with a shopping cart...in her bedroom...lol

  20. He looks like "Talking Carl". If you have an iPhone, you'll have to look up the app. I mistakingly downloaded it and now my youngest is driving me crazy with it. I wish I could throw Carl away too.
