Help Wanted

I love my name.

I always have.

I really want my kids to love their names too!

I like to put there names everywhere.

But I have a teeny problem.

Okay...actually a BIG problem.

It is getting time to name another kid
& I am freaking out.
I get stressed out about naming a child!
It is just so important!!!!

I have a girl name that I thought I loved,
& my boy name...I finally convinced my husband that it is a cool name...
& now that he likes it too...I am scared!
Now I don't know if I like either of them!
(Good thing Kelly is used to me :)

I did this with Rocco & freaked out right after
I delievered because it is such a big deal!
It actually took me about 2 months to like Rocco,
but now I do love it!

So last chance...
even though I am pretty sure we will use the names we have
....any last minute suggestions?

I really like it to roll with:

Annie
Bo
Rocco
&
_______________

Okay girls...
Any ideas?

  1. Alright, I'd say go with something that's one or two syllables. And that doesn't start with A, B, or R.
Maybe, for a girl: Gemma, Leigh, Sasha, Meghan, Jocelyn
And for a boy: Dusty, Owen, Denver, Luke, Micah.

  2. my favorite boy names are edward and charles. i think names after cities or countries are really cool too.
you should definitely rent emma! it's 4 hours long, though! there's 3 versions that i know of. the newest one is my favorite. i also like the gwyneth paltrow version & it's not quite as long.

  3. for a girl: Emma Gloria (after my lively niece,,,and my name for the middle...:)), or Katherine (after Katherine Hepburn, or my Aunt Kate). I think you will have a lively little girl.

for a boy: hmmmm...can you tell I never named a boy!! :/ We almost picked the name, Levi! My mom-in-law hated the name. My dear hubby picked out that name. Hmmmm....let me get back to you...:)

I hope you are feeling great...:) Stay safe and warm with your sweet family!

    xoxo Gloria

  5. I am going to come back here and read all your comments in a day or two to suck the name ideas up as well! I know whatever you name your sweet lil babe will suit them---and you will love it---because you love your babe. Don't freak out (easier said than done..) :) I can't wait to 'meet' the latest addition. You are an amazing mom and are going to do so well. My girlfriend said by the time her fourth child came along, it was easy peasy, just another potato in the pot! :) I wish I was there and I could bring you a meal or hold that child...

  6. We know a Bo who has a brother named Gage. I love the name Levi that Gloria mentioned above. My great grandmother's name was Addie and I've kicked myself for not naming my daughter after her. I went to school with a guy named Brandt... always liked that name, too. Brady is a cool name. Ok, that's it for me. Can't wait to learn your baby's new name.

  7. I'm sure that the names you have picked out are great! My problem was always that there were too many that I liked... my favorites that I had picked out for a girl the last time around were Elliot and Cameron, and for a boy I like Lennon (we used it as Parkers's middle name). Can't wait to see what you guys end up with!

  8. Without hearing your ideas it's hard to really say. I like Yhosie's suggestion though. A "D" name would kind of fit with a sort of theme. I also agree that a good, solid one-to-two syllable name would be awesome, just because it would kind of fit with the rest of the family. I'd share some of my favorites with you but mine are more for the theme of our family lol. Maybe if you have a girl, Daphne, Dinah, or Dido, or for a boy, Dirk, Draco, David or Daniel. But this would be a lot easier if we knew your ideas, so we could go from there. :)

  11. I'm sorry Libbie, I really won't be much help with this.... we were always frantic with the naming part and actually Danielle named Hannah and Cam named Max! We had to approve ofcourse and I'm sure that after the 2nd birthday they maybe would have renamed them but some of those choices would have been denied! So giving them some input while delirious with hormores raging actually worked out for us!
I haven't been able to visit anyone in too long it seems, I have to share a computer with Duane and Cam as we still don't have mine fixed so right now I'm up before anyone else so I can catch up... YAY a new car and I love the attire that everyone is wearing to go for a drive ;)
    YOU look adorable! Truly ADORABLE!
I loved the pictures of you as a child, you have Annie hair! too cute! What a nice friend to send the kiddos all the fun stuff! That is really pretty amazing that you two stayed in touch after a move in the 3RD grade! true friendship.
I loved the post of the Sunday coffee too, Kelly and Rocco sitting holding hands is precious. I will be taking your advice and spreading some love around here today. I was shown much love over the weekend from my sisters and nieces, I am loved. O.k girl, I better leave some roon for others, I am being a comment hog... love ya! xoxoxoox

  12. First of all, I completely understand you freaking out but don't. I did too. But you have unique, beautiful names for all your kids and I know that you and Kelly will make the PERFECT choice. My BFF actually had 2 names narrowed down with her second and she knew she would not know until she looked at his face. And the funny thing was she named him the name she was not crazy about but her husband wanted it. And now she LOVES it. I won't add any more names the I have already given you by email...but I know your baby will be named with love. (I CAN'T WAIT!)

  18. Does this mean you want the bracelet I got for Christmas??? I would LOVE to give that sucker away...

  19. You're right. Names are really important. I think they help define who a person is and what they're like. I know you'll come up with just the right one for your new babe!

  20. I have the same issue with naming children. I'm sure what you've already thought of is perfect, but one of the names that pops out is "Gabe" would be cute with the other names.

  21. I love the names Lillian (Lilly) and Elizabeth (Lizzy, Liza, Beth, Betty, lots of possibilities!). If I ever have a girl, I might name her Clara or Ella.
For a boy, TITUS :) So masculine!) But, keeping with the “o” theme: Bruno, Hugo, Marco, Falco! Otherwise, Tate or Jude would be cute too!

  22. After posting the previous comment ---
Sorry - didn't mean to sound like a "name-nazi"! Clara and Ella are up for grabs since I will probably never have a girl. And if I do, kids with the same name don't bother me. :)
    And, now that I think about it, Zadie and Lizzy kind of sound nice together... {Do you hear me Rachael? :) }

  23. What fun reading everyones suggestions. For some reason Ginger came to mind. Then I thought about how much I have loved my sisters name, her name is Darcy.

  24. I think the names you've chosen in the past for your children are beautiful, so I'm sure you will land on something equally as beautiful. I love the names "Holly" and "Lucca" :D

  25. Hi Libbie, am so glad the cards arrived - thank you for telling me! And the names ... so difficult that one! I'm sure you'll choose just the right one - can't wait to know it!

  26. Oh my goodness, you are asking US? ha!

I say, check back with "middle" names in your family from grandparents or even last names.... Gosh, I dunno.

Tell me again when you are due. Your child WILL have a name. :)

    Blessings

  27. Man, I got nothing. Sorry!

I'll be thinking about it and if I come up with anything good I'll let you know.

If it matters, I think you did a great job naming the rest of your babies!

  28. No names to suggest, but if you are interested in finding out what people think of the names you've selected, or need help choosing among a couple of options, you can make a poll here: http://www.babycenter.com/babyNamePollLandingPage.htm

  29. I have no clue, but I have total faith in you. You'll pull a name out of your magic hat and it will be perfect!

  30. Names really are important, aren't they? I never had a hard time picking mine because I would usually see a name somewhere while I was pregnant and think, "That's the one." Really, I saw them in print and then would choose it.

Sometimes names become too trendy though. Even now, if you choose the good old "classic" names, they are becoming trendy. But on the UP side of choosing a name - it will generally end up being just the right one for that particular child!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. I vote for Luke if it is a boy and Jessie if it is a girl! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  32. I was actually TOTALLY just kidding but after I hit "send" I looked at the names (Jessie and Luke) and they actually kind of work with the rest of your kids' names!

  33. Names are so very important. I've always believed that a child will live up to their name. You have done a marvelous job and I betcha have the perfect names already picked out!

God bless and have a grand time settlin' in with your names. :o)

  34. Oh I was so bad at naming our children! Actually my hubby came up with both of ours: Easton and Addyson. I love the names that you have for your children and I know that you will find another great one!! :) Sorry I am no help.

  35. Hmm, Owen or Preston, for a boy, Lilly or Olivia for a girl. Good luck, Libbie. I am sure you will pick a lovely name!

  38. I've actually had a blast just reading though the names in the comments! We gave our fourth one three names, cause I knew we were done, but I loved all three of his names!(plus he was a boy after three girls and I kept finding new boys names I loved!) What has been said in the comments is true... having the fourth is wonderful and delightful, and surprisingly easy...

  39. I was actually fortunate enough to suggest the names that all four of my grandchildren have ended up with. Isaiah, Alexander, Kaitlyn, and Zachary. Isaiah goes by his middle name and the the three have middle names that are my parents and my husband.

If Zachary had been a girl his name would have been Lily Grace.

  40. i can't type tonight... "the the three" should have been "the other three" LOL!

  41. Cheyenne for a girl, Weston for a boy

  43. It's probably best I missed out on the naming. Knowing me, it would have been a doozy. Hey, Doozy would have been cute!

    See what I mean?
