My favorite favors I picked up for the 50s party
are these little cat eye glasses from The Dollar Store.
They are actually little reading glasses.
My Dad helped me smash the lenses out so the girls can actually
see through them without going blind :)
When Annie saw this pair she got REALLY excited.
She claimed them for her own.
My mom had a great idea and said,
"Why don't you add some gems to the rest of them?"
So I did!
I cut apart these little cell phone gems
that were a buck from the craft store,
and added a little bling to all the glasses.
It was the perfect touch!
What do you think?
Cute! Cute! Cute!
ReplyDeleteBeing an optician, I'd say...YOU ROCK!!!

Love the glasses!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the watermelon pop post too! I need to try that.

ReplyDeleteThe glasses are adorable and the gems add just the right amount of sparkle. I'm sure the guests will love them. I agree with Annie, I like the black and white polka dotted pair the best. Can't wait to see pics from the party.
ReplyDeleteShe is so adorable! You are very lucky xx
ReplyDeleteYou come up with some of the coolest ideas ever. The girls will all have so much fun with those glasses. Annie looks adorable in hers. Annie could be dresses in a paper bag and be adorable. She is just gorgeous! Hugs
ReplyDeleteOH my gosh, so cute! This is going to be such a fun party, minus the balloon animals ofcourse! That was funny ~ but a really good tip. I mean who wants to make the kids cry at the birthday party?
ReplyDeleteHannah is, as we speak, making watermelon popsicles, although she had already spooned out the watermelon and we found a recipe that calls for pureeing the watermelon in the blender and then pouring it in molds or dixie cups with a popsicle stick. Can't wait!
Have a fabulous weekend...keep the tips coming! t.xoxooxox
