Par-TAY!

Time to hang back up the party dress...
hers not mine :)

Jeans for me.

Up late...
Wild night...
You know the kinda party where
"Open Bar"
means no one is guarding the pop from
the kids & you have a lot of kids on a sugar highs,
with very loud horns.
Wild I'm telling ya.

Complete with our own fancy ball drop, of course :)
Not exactly Swarovski
but a broken Christmas ornament will do.

A house filled with family and friends of all ages.
(I heart my Dad)

And my favorite part...
the tradition
(maybe just my families?)
kids banging pots and pans outside
hooting & hollering,
"Happy New Year!!!"
to well wish all your neighbors
at midnight.

I bet they love me.

And to you?
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
:)

I can't wait to see what the year holds!

What did you do last night?
I really want to know!

  13. Happy New Year to you too! Haha, you all have the most fun. The ornament drop sounds almost as good as the real thing. My friends, when I was younger used to bang on pots. We had a cow bell and party horns. Sometimes even those popper things you throw on the ground.

We just stayed at home on NYE. My side of the family lives in our house, so we were all there. We ate lots of food and Elijah got to stay up this year. We also watched the ball drop in NY on TV. Not as fun as your get-together, but still entertaining. :-)

  14. We had a pretty quiet night at my house, but I did stay up to watch the ball drop at Times Square. There's always something exciting about the countdown to a new year. Looks like your family had a blast! :) Love the pic of your Dad. Cherish him.
    Blessings!

  15. My neighbors (accidentally....or so they say) shot fireworks at my window. Scared the CRAP outta me! And woke up my 4 1/2 y/o son.

So what did we do?! We went outside and joined the neighbors! :) :)

Your little girl has a smile that can light up a room, and a soul that could light up THE WORLD. (And, yes, I can make that observationmjust from reading your post, ha ha ha).

  18. So adorable dear one...what a way to bang in the new year....at our old home it was crazy loud at midnight on New Years eve {wild neighbours}...horns...pots..you name it ringing or pounding in the new year. This year in our new home is was so peaceful...not even a sound...only the trees blowing in the wind.
Hugs to you for a great wonderful amazing year my friend...your friendship and blessings always mean so much to me.
