Annie backed into me at Target & turned around & said, "Oh, it's you. I almost didn't recognize you Mom because you have that pretty shirt on & you never wear pretty clothes."

    Only from a child are we willing to accept a compliment in the same breath with an offence: " you have that pretty shirt on & you never wear pretty clothes".

    Ooooh! Now the next question is, what does she consider pretty? The younger generation always considers the older one uncool. I think it's some kind of rule. LOL
