Lately, we have been into our little snack buckets:
They are PERFECT for outdoor snacking
I got these at Michael's for $1.00 each.
We fill them with all kinds of snacks. With the popcorn they each get their own bucket. Otherwise, when Annie comes in for a snack (never fails) I hand her a bucket of fruit & she takes it out to the swingset to share with Bo & the neighbors.
In Spring & Summer we LOVE to spend as much time outside as possible.
I should warn you though...if you fill them with popcorn it is pretty light & sometimes it spills. Rocco is happy about that!
They are perfect for snacking on the go.
Bo is off to the backyard to swing!
The buckets ALWAYS come back empty.
What a great idea, Libbie! But how do you get anything done being around those kids all day? I would get nothing done because of squishing their cheeks and kissing those noses. Too! Darn! Cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! We use a similar bucket with our granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
andrea
PS: Sitka has an award for you at All Gods Creatures.
Well their Aunt Grandmayellowhair..lol...needs to send them something to put in their buckets...OMG I love coming by here.
ReplyDeleteLibbie sweetie you tell Annie that I got her signed autographed magazines today and laughed and cried when I saw how she signed them. Of course I am taking a picture of them for my site.
I cannot ever thank you enough for all that you do for me...sending me these was just tooooo sweet of you and I will treasure them for ever and can not wait to send Kaci hers.
This was just what I needed this morning because really depressed over my injury...waiting on the them to call me now about an MRI. My back is swollen and they don't know what the cause is...really mad at me for doing this to myself.
Anyway will write more later going to take a pain pill and look at you and Annie again in GH..I am writing GH and thanking them for doing this article.
Are you guys still on cloud 9
Love
Maggie

ReplyDeleteHi Libbie,
ReplyDeleteSorry it has been so long since I have left a comment. I still visit but never seem to have a spare moment to leave a message. Until now... I love your blog and I love the snack buckets! In fact, I would like one for myself filled with M&Ms and popcorn. Yum. Quite hungry now.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! My boys are snack monsters. They would snack all day if I let them. I'm going to have to try that this summer. Thanks for sharing. Love that last pic of Annie & Bo. So loving!

ReplyDeleteThat Rocco, better make sure he doesn't munch on the stray bug that might crawl in through that door!
On second thought, they ARE a good source of protein! ;-)

ReplyDeleteThanks!
I had to smile when I saw the popcorn/M&M bucket. When we were younger Lib, I remember one time when I was at your house, we made popcorn and decided to add M&Ms. I think of you every time I see that.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea for snacks. You have the best ideas!
