Ladies & Gentlemen, Now Presenting....

When I had kids I was told I was nuts.
I turned our living room & dining room into...
a FAMILY room.

Complete with a little stage :)

My husband is pretty cool to not just "let me"
but to even build the crazy things I dream up :)

And in return...
we get treated to endless
fashion shows,
And concerts.

Rocco is the shy singer :)
But don't let him fool you...
he loves being up there & dancing.
And of course there is a comedian in every crowd:
This stage has even hosted a Family Talent Show
with cousins, aunts, uncles, & grandparents...
but that is another post (& to tell the truth I am
being held to NO PUBLIC PHOTOS)

Here is one I could throw up of
Annie doing her magic act:
But let's just say I did the Yodeling song
from The Sound of Music.
So we do get a little crazy :)

So maybe we are a little nuts...
...but we wouldn't want it any other way!

A little reminder:
deadline is tomorrow.
The pictures go up for voting on Monday!

I am sooooo excited to show
you all the cupcakes!!!

  7. Just to reiterate, YOU ARE BEING STRICTLY HELD to the no sharing of photos from the Family Talent Show night... That could ruin a few careers, including that of YOUR hubby. I think we are all still getting over that glimpse of Kelly, if you know what I mean...

  10. Wow, i LOVE that idea of having a family stage in the living room - so inspiring for the kids! And if you have kids, you have to adjust your living space anyhow ... Bravo, you're one creative mom!
And you're certainly brave. 4 kids is a lot. But then, this baby is so lucky to get born into this lovely family of yours, so, it will be happy from the start!

  17. A stage? No dining room? A place totally dedicated to hamming it up, showing off, and having a blast? Yep. I would say you are the coolest mom EVER. What memories you are creating for your own family. And now you have to have ANOTHER talent show where public photos ARE on the table because, well, you just HAVE to! I love when you share glimpses of your life. It makes me love you even more!

I bet there are some really fun memories from that stage, but now you have us all curious about some of the family photos... maybe a good one of Kate? Or you and Kate? Have a great weekend! I love the way you are and if there were more mothers like you then people like me would have no job. hahaha
Of course if I don't get back to work I am pretty sure it will not be there.
Your stage is wonderful and what a great idea for family to share theirselves with each other.
I so wanted to join your cupcake contest. Just could not find the time with everything going on here.
Hopefully in another 6 weeks or so this might be behind us
    Love

  26. What a wonderful momma you are! Love the idea of a stage ~ what amazing memories have been and will continue to be made there!

My mom let us use the garage for "shows" ~ we sold tickets to our performances. I have vivid memories of the fun we had.

  27. Hello Libbie,

Thank you for your comment today for Teacup Tuesday.

Well, let me say that I don't think you're crazy at all. I think you are an all-time funtastic mom. Coming from a long line of talented people, your stage is something my family would have loved to have. In fact, if my mother could, she would say so herself, and be on the stage!!

Your children are an absolute delight, and I can imagine what fun they have on their stage. Family get-togethers must be amazingly happy times.

A side note: my father's name was Rocco. Since it seemed like mostly a name Italians/Sicilians gave their children (my father being of that ancestry), imagine my surprise to discover the origin and meaning of the name. It's origin is from an ancient German verb root meaning "to rest".

My prayer for your son is that he finds that blessed rest in God, that his life may be full of peace, balance, and harmony.

Many blessings to you and yours,

    Marianne
