Even though I have seen and even known kids like him before...as I was loading my two healthy boys into the car it hit me like a ton of bricks. I almost started crying right there...and in that moment I felt intense LOVE.
LOVE
for that little boy, whom I knew I would think of
& pray for often.
& pray for often.
LOVE
for the 2 mildewed sippy cups I had to clean out that I just found behind Bo's bed.
LOVE
for the little tub of pears I found in my toilet.
LOVE
for the vanilla wafers I stepped on & smashed to bits on my way out the door.
LOVE
that Rocco screamed everytime I got
on the phone today.
on the phone today.
LOVE
that Annie got sent to her room, even before school, for yelling at me.
LOVE
that every time we go out to play the boys go straight for the faucet.
LOVE
that every time we go out to play the boys go straight for the faucet.
LOVE
LOVE
that I found my plant looking like this today:
LOVE
that when I put Bo down for his nap I found this in his bed...
LOVE
that my kids are healthy enough to be the little rascals they are.
And you know....when Bo played his birthday horn, as LOUD as he could, all the way home from the store...I let him. It was actually one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.

Amen........we overlook what really matters very often..until we realize how blessed we truly are!
Very sweet post. When I take Little Fireman to see his hematologist, we have to go to the oncology clinic. I always have a different perspective on life when we leave.
So sweet..made me cry! We are blessed! Thanks for the reminder sweet one. xoxoxoxo
We forget how truly blessed we are. Thanks for the wondeful reminder!!
Loved the bowl of toothpaste!
And this?
Is one of the most beautiful posts I've ever read.

very very true...I am fortunate for what I have, rather than what I don't have and want.

OK...I must ask you to forgive the SpElLiNg errors...as I can't see through the tears...you my dear are a special mom...How wonderful that He loves us enough, to give us these life lessons daily... when you share these tender moments with your adoring audience...we are all schooled...thank you my dear...smile on Rosie
Libbie, every time I come here I am left smiling and pondering. A beautiful post and I've just also caught up on many of your past posts. yea Rocco! What a cutie he is walking all over the place. That picture of the boys at the faucet is adorable. Your niece is a precious little princess. And the tea party looks like it was such a fun time. The purse and gloves are such a special gift. I am glad Annie was able to wear them and honor a lovely lady. Best wishes to you and your family, many blessings, Tammy :)
Bonjour Libbie,
What a lovely, heart touching post. Thanks for the reminder to appreciate every single second we have with those we love. And I'll pray for that sweet little boy too.
Good Wednesday to you,
Mimi

Thank you. I pray that all Mommies will read this and know what treasures lie in the little hearts that they hold in their hands.
What a sweet post, Libbie! You always make me smile! :)
What a sweet post, brought tears to my eyes. Children are such a blessing in our lives. I wish all children were so loved. Hugs
What a touching post. Sometimes we forget how blessed we are. While others have sick children or reven pray for years just to get pregnant. Thanks for reminding me how blessed I am!
That is so true! Thank you for reminded us to don't sweat the small stuff! I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!

Hello, i was introduced to your blog last night via - two shades of pink. That is such a sweet post, makes you count your blessings everyday xx
Oh, Libbie, with thankful heart, I totally agree. We too often forget, don't we? Blessings**
Libbie, it is heart wrenching when you see children you know are sick and very humbling at the same time. We have much to be thankful for and I think you summed it up beautifully.
On a side note, I got my copy of Good Housekeeping (June 2010). Even though I knew the story already, it was such a delight to read it again and see it in the magazine! Way to go Annie!
What a sweet post Libbie! Life becomes so much more enjoyable and endearing when we stop and realize what is truly important. The small things that irritate us actually become a reminder of the beautiful gifts that we have been given by God.
Absolutely..... beautiful post, touched my heart.
Libbie, thanks for making me remember what matters the most! And not to sweat the small stuff and to love the not so pleasant moments my kids have! I sure needed this! THANK YOU!
