Ghost Roast

This weekend we had a party
at the farm & one of the
biggest hits was roasting Peeps!

We did both pumpkins & ghosts
but the ghosts seemed to be the favorites.

Since they were so good...
we roasted a few more today.

They get all crunchy on the outside
and really soft & gooey in the inside!

Rocco likes them better cold.
He snatched one & made a run for it.

But very soon he came running back
crying & when we realized
why we had a good laugh.

Turns out Kate's chickens liked the ghosts too!

Before I go I have to show you the
cute lunch she made for the boys today:

That sister of mine even knows
 how to make peanut butter
sandwhiches irresitable!

The boys gobbled them up!

What a great idea - I'll have to remember this one.

That chicken stealing R's ghost is hilarious :)

Was that chicken the mommy of the little chick he shook like a rattle? Cuz I'm thinking that may have been paybacks. A peep for a chick is what I say. And I think Ghost Roast is the best blog post title everrrrr! This was way cute!

What a great idea! We are having a pumpkin carving party this week and I may just have to steal this... how far is your jurisdiction? LOL! We had a bonfire this weekend too but we had hot chocolate instead of roasted marshmallows (lame, I know) but we didn't have all of the ingredients for smores so as far as my kids are concerned the marshmallows would have been naked so no go! Say hello to Kate for me! Theresa xoxo

How fun! We haven't done this yet with Sweet'ums but now I'm thinking as soon as we have a cool night again and the hubby and his dad are off at the same time I might have to get some marshmallows (or Peeps!), some metal hangers, and mix up some hot chocolate for a fun night over at the in-laws' place.
Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day--it means a lot!

So C-U-T-E! I know I'm going to love reading your blog because the photography is great, the subjects adorable and the writing hilarious! It looks like a fun time was had by all (except for poor little Rocco!)

We don't have a Ghost Roast but our family is getting together for our annual pumpkin carving, costume and soup party at my BIL's and SIL's place in the country on Sunday. I think I'm making my world famous (haha!) Italian Vegetable Soup. Mmmmmmm...

Blessings to you and yours!

Fun times indeed. My kids would love this, even the 15 year old. Have yet to see any good Halloween candy in the stores around here and certainly no peeps to be found. :/ Congrats on your April shower ;) Best wishes, Tammy

You and Kate sure know how to make life fun. Just wish your older sister Maggie would learn something too. heeehheee
Speaking of Kate has she started blogging again. I went by there not to long ago and she had not started back. I will check on her again.
I did make a circle of ghost today for my yard. Turned out ok! Wish your babies could come to my ole house trick or treating.
Loved my visit and now I want some peeps
Love
Maggie

We just got a fire pit, Libby, so we'll have to try this out. I bet my teenage daughter and her friends would get a kick out of this (as if they need more sugar!) ;0)
