The forurth of July has always been my favorite holiday.
I think it is Roo's fave too.
Okay...so he just layed there :)
Kate had a party Saturday night and
had the kiddies bring their bikes.
She had lots of decorations to
"Pimp their rides" :)
"Pimp their rides" :)
They liked having their bikes all souped up
but they REALLY liked me to do it for them :)
We dressed the kids in red, white, & blue,
but about 5 minutes in to me decorating 6 bikes & a wagon...
Bo was standing in her garage in nothing but his shark tooth necklace & his underware.
"I'm wet,"
he says.
Squirt guns.
Luckily, I had more clothes along so I got him dressed
and 5 minutes later he is walking around naked again.
"Bo!!!"
"I'm wet!"
Again.
But after we got Bo to keep on some clothes :)
The bikes got decorated
& the kids were adorable
zooming all around the yard throughout the night.
I mean who wouldn't want a flag on your handlebars?
:)
Happy 4th!!!!

Adorable...happy 4th to you all. xoxoxo HUGS
Happy 4th sweet Libbie! Love it! And I think if I were Bo's age...naked in summer would be the way to go. And Annie looks FABULOUS as does her bike. And little Roo...so scrumptious and sweet!
Adorable ~ all of them.... I remember when I was young, kids use to decorate their bikes & ride around the neighborhood in a Red White & Blue Parade.... Tissue paper & Crepe paper & the playing card clothpined to your spooks to make that cool noise ~ that was back in the day when you could take off & go places on your own, and come in when the street lights came on.... Well, I couldn't, My Mom was a bit strict, I had to be close enough for her to call me. (that means Hollar, No Cell phones back then) Oh, I digressed & you made me think of My Childhood ~ awe the 60's!
So, Happy 4th to You! xox

I want a flag on my handle bars!! This makes me want to go decorate my bike and ride it around my neighborhood. These pictures are so much fun. Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!

Looks like fun! Glad everyone had a good time.
In the parades when I was a kid they always had a spot for the kids who wanted to ride their decorated bikes! love that. All of the bikes look so sweet and well if it wouldn't frighten the neighbors I would follow Bo's lead! I could never keep Max in clothes when he was that age. I would find him running down the sidewalk in his underwear (or less) no kidding!
When he was in Kindergarten the class made their own version of the NO David books and Max's page was I can't run down the sidewalk in my naked! I. am. not. kidding.
The teacher asked me if I wanted to take it out because it was going to be shared with all of the families. I told her no, it was Max's version of what he got told NO to the most!
Thanks again for another walk down memory lane... love, t. xoxoxoo
how much fun would these guys have together! xoxo
I just love me some Bo! too cute! I saw on the local news last night where a certain neighborhood has been having a neighborhood parade on July 4 since the 1940's. The kids dress up their bikes and a few "floats" are made (out of wagons, trailers, etc.) and the parade is the beginning of the block party. I was wishing I lived there. :o)
I love this holiday too! Those bikes are awesome! You really are such a good mommy ... and your kids will really appreciate all of these extras that you take the time to do for them one day! ;)
What a fun idea! Looks like everyone had a fantastic holiday and the kids are as cute as ever!!
