Thank you sooooo much for all your loving comments about my last post, Annie's bracelets. Your sweet thoughts brought me to tears MANY MANY times!
I can't believe what this week has been! We are in bracelets up to our knees over here! That is one reason I have not been able to visit many of you, my friends. I have been beading with Annie & our family filling orders. Even tonight my family sat around making bracelets for Annie to sell. My mom, Auntie Cake & Annie's cousins have all been called in as reinforcments.
Here is a picture of our HARDEST WORKING volunteer:
Auntie Cake's "Nature Girl" kicked out more bracelets than anyone this weekend!
She even stayed the night, stayed up late beading & then...spent her whole 13th birthday beading!!! Seriously, this girl is an angel!
It also turns out Kate's "Captian Awesome" has a serious eye for design :) All the girls were going crazy trying to think up new patterns & he (14) sits down & starts whipping out the coolest bracelets...who knew!
We have had different people helping us in different ways so we decided to make a special bracelet just for people who volunteer to help us out.
Just kinda Fun.
We had a friend offer to sell some at her
Salon "La Court Hair Design."
One fun surprise today was finding that a writer Lisa Belkin from the New York Times mentioned Annie's cause on the
Pretty Cool :)
I am not sure we are making a ton of money-the one dollar price tag is not adding up very quickly :) BUT Annie is learning, caring & inspiring (me).
So we are BUSY & really just enjoying the surprises each day & most importantly, enjoying the support from all of you friends!
So, please forgive me if I don't stop by this week. Believe me, I MISS YOU! And I know that life will be back to normal next week :) so I will be back bugging you all :)
It is amazing what a little fist full of bracelets & a whole bunch of caring hearts can turn into.
It is amazing how many smiles you have given our family.
Thank You.

You can't possibly know how many smiles (and tears)you've given all of us! I shared your last post with family and co-workers....each and every person who read it was truly touched and impacred by it!
Annie ~ you have truly blessed my heart! And everyone helping you with your sweet bracelets has too!
She is absolutely adorable and so kind and thoughtful, I think you should email Oprah and tell her what your little sweet girl has done! Or Martha, they need to know how selfless and kindhearted your angel is!!!
Wow, at such a young age too, God bless her and you for instilling such compassion in her heart!
Hugs,
Margaret B
Your last post was the first blog post I've ever shared on FB. Sounds like you've started a business! Congratulations, great job.
Libbie, you and your family are truly inspirational! You have certainly raised a true angel for a daughter. Well done to you beautiful little Annie!

How sweet and compassionate your little Annie is! I love how a child can get so passionate over a real need to help others and especially at such a young age. Good job mom, because I do think it starts with parents teaching little ones to care!
I can't get over how beautiful Sophia is! This was a beautiful project and I'm sure she'll never forget it! I meant to tell you that I loved your Christmas post with Sophia in that snazzy red dress. It made me think back to all the years my mom bought Christmas dresses for me and how I walked a little bit taller in a few of them. And sometimes I walked a little shorter - my mom didn't always have the best taste - ha! But sometimes she just got it right!!! Hope all is well!
Wow this post just made my heart smile. What a sweet little girl you have and those bracelets are amazing and her donations will be multiplied because of her heart. God can stretch every dollar raised.
Nice write up too.
Hey Libbie,
You go girl! The NEW YORK TIMES BLOG. WOOO WHO!! Ok, she's only five and she's already a sensation. But come on, look at her, Hello! That smile is infectious. She just radiates love and sweetness. YOU have yourself to thank for that!
Isn't it great that you are teaching her to be a giver. That is a quality that will carry her through life. They say a child's personality is formed my the time they are 7. You've sealed the deal there for sure!!!!
Kudos to your niece for being so selfless and sacrificing her birthday the way she did too. Kate's gotta be so proud too. You guys are a great family!
Happy beading and when you come up for air we'll have to visit. Enjoy the project!
XoXo

I am not sure what warms my heart more; the pictures of Annie with her bracelets or the story itself. She is such a treasure!
