Blue & White Stripes

Alright, I know my clue was kinda hokey, especially when you see what it really is, but Hey, your here!  :)  One of my FAVORITE things is peeking inside of your homes...you know nosing around a bit...so....okay, I'm nosey.  :)  But those stripes that I actually LOVE LOVE LOVE are the walls of my bedroom!
My husband came home from work one day & was a LITTLE shocked how much masking tape I had on the walls.  He knew I wanted stripes, he just didn't realize how I planned to do it.  He thought I was nuts & then joined right in.

It's pretty cramped with Rocco's crib but we LOVE him in with us & don't mind rearranging a bit for our babes.  The kids all love being in it too.

Some people LOVE spending money on art but since I can't afford the good stuff I always make my own.
This is actually a picture Annie sleeping in our bed under blue Christmas Tree lights.

We LOVE to cuddle here.
I have a picture on my bedside table of Annie holding Bo in this onsie.
So when Rocco was wearing it we couldn't resist getting more pics.

So many memories...so many more to make!

When Rocco was born I said, "Bo...peek in at Rocco."
Not exactly what I had in mind.
So...it wasn't real exciting but I just wanted to invite you in today :)  And please, when you are giving tours....INVITE ME!  I would love to pop over!

Love the blue and the stripes. And again, I have to say, your kids are just adorable! Thankfully Bo wanted to check in on Rocco and looks like he wanted to give him a kiss or cuddle up with him, rather than smack him upside the head like some kids would do. I have a picture of my Zack in a onesie that I now have tacked to a bulletin board along with that little onesie. I can't believe he actually ever wore it. So tiny! And I have pictures of both my boys in the same hoodie onesie that someone gave Yusef when he was born. Zack gets all of Yusef's hand-me-downs. But once Zack's gotten into them, they aren't fit for much else (he's my messy wild child). HA! Have a great day. :) Tammy

You've done a fine job making your own art. The blue/white color of the stripes is so very soothing and goes well with all the items in the bedroom. Your adorable children fit perfectly to the room and its background.

Thanks for the tour!

So PRETTY! Very soothing, calming and 'clean' looking. I know you had to put a lot of work into that. And I love the real-life children you decorate with! hee hee.

Hi Lib,
Oh sooooooooooooo pretty. I love that color blue, it is so soothing. What a big large pretty space! Great job painting those stripes. All the up and down on the ladder is enough to kill your quads for a long time after the job is done. Who knew painting could be such a workout???
What a lovely retreat for you and your kids. It goes without saying how adorable they look in all those photos!! I love the one of Bo checking in on Rocco. Thank God the base is big enough...that looked like an accident waiting to happen. How many times have you held you breath since then????????
This is why I never had a boy. They say God gives you what you can handle :0
Have a beautiful day. It is raining here, but the sun always shines, especially in blog land!!
XoXo

Blue is my favorite home decorating color! I never tire of blue, it's so peaceful. Wow you are very talented! I have either the same or very similar bedding in that blue & white toile (for a spare room, which I call my Williamsburg-on-a-budget room) and also the flowered rug which I have in my foyer! Your bedroom is absolutely dreamy! We are getting ready to do ours over some time this year. Maybe I'll copy your stripes!!!

Hiya hunni
Thanks for popping by.
Yes well we may have bagged the biggest bedroom in the house but I'm afraid river got the best view. Maybe I'll show you his room when I figure out how to get through the door without breaking my neck hehehe.
I have two cabbage patch doll's the one with the lilac shoes is called Hope and the one that you probably didn't see ( tucked up in the left hand corner with pink shoes) Is called justice.
I have to laugh, your comment about forcing men to live in such prettiness, when we first moved in together he was dead certain that he was under no circumstances living in a girly house. Now he just look's and say's yes dear very pretty lol and the day I painted all the kitchen woodwork pink... well he never even noticed lol.

speak to you again soon

((hugs)))
