Ice Skating Party

We had a lot of fun this weekend ice skating with the cousins.    It was Bo's first time on skates.
I married a hockey player so I am sure Bo will spend a lot of time on skates in the years to come.

It was Annie's first time skating without me having to hold her up the whole time!  Once she got going she was all over the place!
We skated on a long man-made canal (Centennial Lakes in Edina).  It has lots of bridges to go under &  music playing.   It is a little more than 1/2 a mile long.  It really is beautiful.  If you look under the bridge in this next picture you can kind-of see down the canal.
Rocco & his Cousin Calvin even got in on the fun.  The older cousins were so helpful at pulling them around.
He loved it :)

My mom brought some of her students.
It was their first time ice skating ever!
They did great !

When Bo got his skates off he was a maniac with the snowballs!

If you come to Minnesota we may just have to drag you along!
Bye!

ahhhh lovely pictures! They all look like they are having so much fun! It is not an easy thing to skate here in the UK, they don't promote it well. I would love to live near a rink. I would be on it all the time! Have a fab rest of a day! xxx

Your ice-skating advanture looks fun, I bet it was nice to get home though, get into the warmth and have some hot chocolate, or hot tea... Don't we have it so good? I love what I read in your 'About Me'section:
"My prayer for my children is that they have good & noble hearts so that when the word of God is sown in them, it will take root & grow an abundant harvest."
Very nice. Keep up the good work. Being a wife and mother and caring for a husband's, and children's needs is a special job that we were uniquely created to do! Have a wonderful day,
Ciao~

Oooh fun! Ice skating here in California is indoors, doesn't sounds like much fun right?! It's not :) Sometimes I wish I lived in a place where we could play in the snow and go ice skating... I imagine many fun family traditions come out of it! Thanks for sharing.

Looks like so much fun. I haven't skated since I was a young girl in Illinois.

wow It look's like yopu had a great time and little bo certainly seemed to be enjoying himself lol. I haven't been ice skating since primary school and even then it was an indoor event.
Thanks for poppping over and leaving a lovely comment.

Febuary 14th is valentines day over here too although I don't think we are into these holidays as much over here as your guy's are over there ( Think I'm coming to live with you guy's lol).

The canal with the bridges, lights and music is really neat. I have never seen that before. Of course, I haven't seen much about snow and ice before. Looks fun.

What wonderful family fun! It's so much nicer skating outside isn't it? And during the evening with pretty lights ~ magical!

That is our very favorite park. We used to live right across the street from there in the Edinborough condos, and would walk over all the time. We actually got engaged there, too! It's the best place to skate. I can't wait til Will & Samantha are big enough. :)

I love Centennial Lakes. I've even tried to ice skate there but I'm hopeless at skating. It's a shame I carry with me...to be from Minnesota and not be able to ice skate! Thanks for the pics! I feel like I'm back at home.
