Olympic Bound

We spend all the sunny days at my lil' sister Rachael's pool and Annie just learned to dive this week.

Well, sort of...
We are not building trophy cases just yet.

But she tries OVER  & OVER again.

When she is under water, we giggle & someone always says, "Ouch....that had to hurt."   Then when she comes up, we clap & she smiles.

She came over to me & whispered, "Mom....they are loving my diving!"  And she looked so proud!  I have to admit....when she actually started doing it right today...I knew I'd miss those belly flops.

Farmer's Market

On Saturday I woke Annie up really early & we headed down to the Minneapolis Farmer's Market.  We usually go to smaller ones closer to home but she LOVED the hustle & bustle of this one!  She picked out & paid for the flowers.
Then she wanted to carry them the rest of the day.
We bought blueberries, potatoes, and the biggest juciest peaches I have ever seen.  Of course, flavored honey sticks are a must.

And so is roasted corn!
She posed for the picture & took her first bite....then she started crying, "My tooth is shaking!!!  My tooth is shaking!!!"  It took me a good 5 minutes to calm her down, it's her first loose tooth.  She never did eat the rest of the corn, but she called everyone we know on the way home to tell them about her loose tooth :)

Bo loved the big peaches.
And this morning before church I heard Bo say, "I made it fancy."

Apparently peaches taste better with noses.

Family Tree

I showed you Annie's rainbow octopus that she made at our church's "Unleasing Creativity" event, but I didn't show you what I made.  I am no artist but I do love taking pictures of people I love, so this is what I made:

Our family tree.   It is actually pretty big...36 x 24.  Just 2 days later when my Dad had his surgery it meant all the more to us.  I gave it to my parents and they love it.

We haven't hung it for them yet...& the little kids are enjoying covering it with fingerprints as they point to all the people they love so much.

Yeah...you might need to make one too.  :)

Thanks to everyone for their prayers & well wishes for my dad.  He is home & has come a long way this past week.  He is doing GREAT!  He really is, so thank you!

Squeaky Clean

I put my kids in the tub and then, because I didn't want them to mess up the house, decided to walk them to the park.  Not my best idea to avoid messiness after a rainy night.

It sure was messy!  But it sure was fun :)
Back home & back into the tub for my little pack.

On a different note my Dad had a very serious surgery last week & if you could pray for his healing, my family would really appreciate it.  His name is Dan & we all love him dearly.
Love you Dad!!!!
