What to do...?

So there is a heat advisory & your air conditioning is out
...has been all weekend.
(they charge double on weekends you know :)

It is too hot to even eat.
Then, Rocco hands me a box of cake mix.
What to do?

Why not!
so we skipped lunch & went right for dessert :)

Strawberry cake made on a cookie sheet
with light cool whip for topping.
That's it!
Unless of course you'd like sprinkles!

Everyone has their own style of eating these babies.

Annie digs right in.

Rocco is a little more refined.

Just be sure to wash your face when you are done!

Soon after our treat, the air conditioning truck pulled up,
& the kids couldn't believe he would sit out in his truck so long!

But alas...cold air is here again :)

(Never thought I would ever use the word alas, I kinda like it:)

Also, thank you for all your sweet comments about

You girls really are amazing friends!

That cake made me drool a little.
Just had a chance to check out the pictures of the birthday party! You sure know how to do it up right! Love the backyard movie with families to finish all off. Those kids will never forget that day! I hope you can stay cool now. :)

Okay now wait just a sec ... did you actually turn on your OVEN and bake that cake in an already hot house? You are dubbed "Saint Fun Mom" ... I would die without air conditioning. LOVE IT!!!!!

Those look so good! How adorable are they!! I am so glad that your air is fixed, we had that same issue last week. The air-conditioning man is a good good man. :)

Hmmm, I tried to comment earlier today and Blogger wouldn't let me. I must have tried ten times before I admitted defeat! Anyway, here I am again, trying yet again.

I sympathize with your plight because we have been having A/C issues as well. Luckily for us, dh works in the construction industry and we have a friend in the business who we can call day or night on his cell phone and he always squeezes us in! YAY for Dennis! He's the best! Anyway, I hope you're enjoying cool air now because it's still so HOT and HUMID around here! (What's up with me, all these CAPS?! I must be feeling a little giddy tonight!)

Those strawberry cakes look heavenly... Yummmm!

No ac here in these parts...and it isn't the greatest of situations, but it could be worse. Next time I get hot, I'll think of your cool house and eating a slice of that yummy cake. Now that would be a treat! Xx

Thank goodness the AC man showed up. Everyones nightmare right now with the heat wave but when I read yours was the out the first thing I thought was OH No not those babies suffering in this weather and their too far for me to pick up.
Where is a private jet when you need one to take you around. lol
Libbie your the best mom and friend in the world. Heating up the kitchen so they could have this delicious looking dessert. I adore these pictures too.
Today I got something in the mail that made me well up in tears. I tell you it was the prefect thing to find in my mailbox after this long week. I tried to send you an email but it came back so I will try and see on here if you have one listed.
Give Annie a big thank you for making us a bracelet I know Kaci is going to want it but it looks good on my wrist too...
Honey do you sale your candles. OMG never have I smelled one like this in all my long years of life. lol...You could be rich and famous and come see me if you marketed these. Are they hard to do. I can't wait for Christi to come Sunday so I can show it to her.
How can I thank you for being such a precious little sis to this ole Texas gal
Sending you much love and happiness with lots of cool air too

Dearest Libbie,

It's about a year ago since I followed you but I would love to know how your parents-in-law are doing since that devastating fire around Christmas time.
Take care and have a lovely Sunday! You got such cute kids... I did enjoy visiting.

Love to you,

Mariette
