Easiest Whoopies EVER!

Whoopie Pies tug at my heart.
This sumer I tried about 5 different recipes but I never really found one that I loved.  I think they look a lot cuter than they taste.  But I came up with a little trick that I will tell you in a minute...

Today, I got a call that Annie was sick & to come pick
her up from school.  Since I am not entirely convinced she is ill :)  First words when she got in the car were,
"Can I lie on the couch & watch T.V. all day?"
I am making her work here.

We needed a little break so I surprised the kids
with a little extra special snack...

Oreo Cakester whoopie pies!

The double stuffed work the best because
the filling goes over the edge.

I love them because there is no baking
& no mess...unless this is your decorating crew:

And while the kids snacked on the Oreo Cakesters,
Roo snacked on a little fresh snow
I brought in for him to play with:

I prefered to sneak one of these:

They still are rich & creamy but not as heavy
as real whoopie pies.
So creamy that Bo couldn't finish his,
& I caught him stashing his in his junk drawer:

Boys :)

I think they would be great for class parties.

Anyway I hope you get time for a little treat today too!

What a fun idea. Your kids look like they are enjoying all of it very much. And I think Annie simply needed some home-time, and you provided the perfect medicine :)

Love those nails on Annie. Now who did that? Hope she feels better, now.

Girl, every sweet little thing you do with those scrumptious kids makes me want to do the same with mine. I seriously want to be a mom like you someday! You are so stinkin fun! Probably because you have 2 awesome sisters too! And i confess to never have put a whoopie pie to my lips. Like ever. Send me one. I will photograph me eating it and you can have the proud feeling in knowing your whoopie pie was the first one I ever ate! Love it! love you!

What a neat little "project". Gonna have to do this with Elijah one day. You actually got some snow this year? We haven't had anything measurable all winter. Roo is a lucky guy to get some to play with.

All your kids are starting to look older. It's a sign that spring is a-coming. :-)

Too funny Bo stashing his away for a raining day. I so remember cleaning my brothers rooms and finding even pickles. lol
Thanks for the wonderful post.

Yep, I agree, that's on good lookin' 'sick' kid!!! 'Love those nails.

Mmmmmm, I used to make Whoopee Pies all the time when the kiddos were home. 'Haven't thought of 'em in years. This version is much easier.

You have the most precious little assembly line goin' there.

I got a kick outta little Roo's chubby little hands playin' with the snow.

God bless ya sweetie and have a terrific day!!!

Now I've got a mighty hankerin' for a Whoopee Pie! :o)
