Butterfly Jar

What's in your jar baby?

Oooo...a butterfly!

Pretty cool since it is not even real.

But it sure acts like it is alive!

My mom gave us girls a butterfly jar

for our families for Easter.

(Walgreen's)

The butterflys flutter all around when you just tap the top.

The kids play with it for hours.

You REALY REALLY might want to pick one up.

But hurry & grab yours before it is gone!

Here in the USA we like to give May baskets on May first. 

You just hang a little basket of treats on your neighbors doorknob,

ring the bell, & RUN!!!

It seems like yesterday I did my May Day Post from last year!

But here it is the first of May.

This is the first year that Bo joined in on it.

He was so cute with his little basket in his hand.

His excitment was contagious!

Annie acted like the old pro,

"I'll take Bo, Mom.  I'll show him what to do."

Sounded good to me, I am getting a bit old for ringing the doorbell, running & hiding in the bushes.

They had LOTS of fun & only got caught once :)

So why is a first grader up at 3:26 in the morning?

To attend a Royal Wedding party, of course :)

Little boys like rain boots & worms.

But me? 

I treasure handmade cards

& handwritten letters.

Ones from Cathie postmarked Australia...priceless.

And I treasure brown paper packages tied up with string.



The best ones are filled with

But then it excites my whole family...

I barely had time to snap a picture of these chicks she sent

before Rocco was snatching them up.

And Bo could NOT WAIT long enough to put shoes on before

 he zoomed out the door to decorate walk with the chalk she sent.

The giggles I had looking through my Easter pics,

just look at Bo's face.

We couldn't get everyone together again this year...

but at least Annie is pretty consistent :)

She eats this picture thing up.

She may have the posing down perfect...

(can even rock some rug burn)

The Easter Bull

You find the perfect Easter dress...

to match the cutest Easter sandals.

Then add one round of playing "BULL" with dad

& add a big dose of rug burn.

(Dad The "Bull" obviously won)
