America's Got Talent

You can tell it is going to be a looooong summer.

On Annie's first day home we decided to sort out the toys.  While we were working she said, "Look mom I can balance this on my head."  Of course, like a good mom,  I pretended to be all impressed.
And then I spotted the little wooden candles.  "We need to add some fire!"  Yes, I have been watching too much America's Got Talent.

If you are not impressed yet...I am sure this will AMAZE you :)  Next, we decided we NEEDED to put some water in those cups for a truly magical act.

But there was one thing we didn't count on:

Rocco was thirsty!
And MAD that we wouldn't give him a drink.
This was the result:

Thank goodness her favorite quote is Winston Churchill's "NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, GIVEUP!"
It took 3 tries.

Ta-Da!

Notice she is still pretty wet.
:)

Anyway, that is how we amused ourselves for WAY TOO LONG!

When she went to go dump out the cups she came back with these:

"Mom, I made them fancy!"
She was pretty proud of herself :)

I mean...what more could a girl want?

Well...let me tell you...those little cherries REALLY made Rocco thirsty!
But, then he dumped the whole cup down his shirt going for the cherry.
I guess it is time for a snack!

Rocco wins!

This is so cute and so funny. Darling kiddos, too. Oh, and her nail polish and bracelets are adorable! Girls are fun, aren't they?

OK...you win the posting contest...that is the funniest post I have ever read...in every shot of annie, she has this angelic grin plastered on, and poor Rocco is just wanting a drink and a snack...Wow my tummy hurts from laughing...
Thanks for your visit...We are so cut from the same cloth. Are you younger? Cause my motto growing up was "ignorance is bliss"...if you looked pathetic, someone was bound to show you a more effective method, thus doing it for you. The joke of it is, I'm now the one who is annoyed and giving my two bits worth
such a happy, happy post...still smiling Rosie

LOVE IT! But um, did yo really have full glasses of water balancing on Annie's head? This could quite possibly make you the coolest mom EVEEERR to all children in the land. And the fact that Annie knew how to fancy up that cup with a cherry...my hat is off to you dear Lib. This was just another one of your happiness inducing posts. Love it!

Annie already has an artistic mind, like her mom! Love the painted fingernails and the fancy drink. Me, I'm like Rocco, just give me the food, forget the talent. :P

Oh my gosh, I love that one little tear stubbornly clinging to Rocco's left eye! He looks so adorably pitiful, I just wanna give him a whole bag of cherries. :-)

It's abundantly clear that your kids are going to be in the gifted programs at their schools! ;-)

XO,
Anne

Aside from being talented - Miss Annie is BEAUTIFUL! Seriously! She has that wonderful 1950s beaming beauty look. I don't want to make her grow up too fast, but she reminds me of those 1940s-50s images of a dolled up woman in a red swimsuit looking over her shoulder. Oh what fun we will have on our photo shoot this summer!:)
