Make Your Own Sunshine

Tomorrow is Annie's Birthday.
(She is having her party late July but we will celebrate tomorrow :)
I knew just the cake she needed.

And of course she was happy to help with this job!

It didn't take long before
2 little boys were trying to stick their little fingers in it.

(where I found this cake)
was right...

...It makes the prettiest dirty dishes you've ever seen.

It is in the oven now.

I can't wait to frost it tomorrow :)
When I do & I'll pass onto you the
BEST frosting recipe in the world!

I've been thinking why haven't you called me back all morning~ I see now you have been busy baking! I would not ever have guessed that :)I'm thinking the germs from those fingers will bake off...But keep those 2 little boys fingers out of the frosting! JK...kind of... :)
The cake is looking very festive~ looking forward to it & the pinata tomorrow. ;)

Libbie,
I always look so forward to your posts! When I open my blog, if I see that you have written, I have to read your's first! I love hearing your kid stories and seeing what you're all up to! I have 3 boys and a girl...they're all married and I've shared that with you before...but your family mirrors our family and I think I can identify with you...only I lived your life in the 70s & 80s. Now I'm blessed with 9 1/3 grandchildren and, believe it or not, this is even more fun than being a Mommy was!! So look what you have to look forward to!
Thanks for your stories...they make my day!

Hey there! Happy birthday to that sweet Annie! I bet those boys had a hard time keeping hands off. No doubt the cake will be fantastic! So glad that little tip helped you. Bloggers still seems to have sporadic problems of one nature or another. :/ Best wishes to you and yours, Tammy
