I really shouldn't have...

my phone.

A little more than a person should.

Roo is as attached to my phone as I am.
You know how most kids like a blankie?

When Roo gets tired...he asks for my phone.
I have about a dozen pictures of him sleeping like this:

Because he always does.

Even right at this very moment he is up in his crib
with Annie's toy cell phone.
My favorite thing about my phone is the camera.
I am capturing our life with that little baby gadget!

Yesterday I set it on the hood of the car to help one of the kids with his shoe.  I looked at it & thought,
"I really shouldn't put it there."
& I shouldn't have.

My husband pulled in at that very moment
& instead of grabbing it...I walked out of the garage to greet him.
(His fault for being so cute.)

Then we all jumped in the car to go pick up Annie.
When we got home,
"Where is my phone?"
I knew.
My stomach dropped
because I knew.

We used
app to locate it about 2 miles away,
in a ditch.

But then it looked like this:

& I felt my heart sink, really sink, more than it should have.

I told my hubby I'd just wait for July until my contract was up.
I meant it, but inside I didn't like it too much.

An hour a later he had a new screen put on it by the
Gadget Guru.

He really takes good care of me :)

The camera doesn't work
& I will miss Instagram.

BUT
July will be here fast
& Roo is happy again.
(Me too.)

Between this & the green M&M
I have had lots of expensive lessons recently.

Just don't do it girls...
don't do it.
:)

Oh My Goodness... Your phone Looked so adorable in the first picture {little guy even cuter} That phone sure took a beating, I'm so surprised that it still worked At All!
Also love the post with Annie's "To Do" List, great idea about painting the edge with glue, I didn't know that would work....
ps. I smiled again when you mentioned the Green M&M

OH my gosh, I would be lost too! I held back getting a smart phone, didn't need the extra expense but i tell you, when my computer started acting up I even listed things on etsy from my phone! I take pics with it, listen to pandora on it, and text my kids all day long on it... they wish I would have an 'accident' with mine too!!! I was thinking your green m&m story was going somewhere else when I read the title (thinking back to my teenage years and the rumors) but ohhhh poor Rocco! Tough lesson! On to Kit and Kendall, GAAAAA soooo adorable! I have told you that you are blessed, right? Kit is as sweet and adorable as all of the rest of your beautiful family! When I read the stories of the boys adventures (it's just a good thing to call mischief when they are so stinkin cute) I think, how does Libbie get anything done? Seriously, you are supermom for sure. I'm so glad that I saw your post today, I needed a good dose of your family... thanks <3 love, t.xoxoxo

Oh no Libbie ! My heart just sank when I saw the phone. Amazing that it hung on for that long before flying off the car. My husband bought me an iPhone several weeks ago. I was quite happy with my Nokia that I had for 10 years but am finding that I quite enjoy the iPhone after all and my friends are happy that I have left the Flintstone ages behind. Ha!

Well, it is only a phone -- and July will be here before you know it. I still like using my regular camera for most photos anyways.

Take care! Hugs, Tammy

OH no Libbie I am so very sorry. I loved these pictures of Roo so enjoyed the post until the end.
So funny how he loves your phone.
I let Christi talk me into buying one in January and by March the speaker went out in it. Their suppose to have a year warranty. I made the mistake and took it back to Best Buy and they promised to send me a new phone but instead they sent be someone elses phone that broke and was fixed. I was livid and have complained to everyone that listens but I am stuck with a refurbished one.
Sorry I went on and on telling you about my broken phone. haha
I get carried away when I am on your site.
Think of you every day wondering how in the world you are and how your doing.
Your right if your hubby wasn't the adorable guy he was you wouldn't have forgot your phone on the car.
July will be here before we know it.
Take care and be gentle on yourself.
Love ya
Maggie

Oh no! I'm so sad for you! I love my phone, too (it's an i5). We drove off one time with our house phone on the back bumper of our car (my husband's fault - LOL! - not me!!!) and never did find it. This was many years ago when cordless phones were still horribly expensive.

My poor son just bought a brand new phone (one of the really nice Samsung Nexxus phones - I think). He'd just had it a couple of weeks and it got stolen. Never mind that he left it somewhere - it wasn't turned into security so it "technically" got stolen (his fault for leaving it; we've had many conversations about that but he pays the bills for it and he purchased it so...). He didn't learn from that and left his Kindle Fire at work (hidden, but still there) and someone took it (we think the cleaning person since the only way to see it was if someone was back in his cube to get the trash can).

Sometimes life does give us some very expensive lessons. (Hope July comes very quickly for you!)

OH NOOOOOO!!! That is the saddest! You poor thing! So sorry about that, shoot! My phones last me way too long. In fact, it is usually because I get tired of my kids nagging me about my archaic phone that I will get an upgrade. (I have a Cricket phone = no contract.) All five of my kids have an iPhone in some form or another - but NOT me! I want one, just can't see spending the moola right now. I sure would love a nice camera phone though. Mostly since joining Instagram too. Good luck!

I totally feel you on the love for you phone. :)

Check with your carrier because even though your contract might not be up until July, I know AT&T lets you renew (and get a new phone) 3 or 4 months BEFORE the end of the contract. Also, for $100 or so, I highly recommend the Apple Care. It lasts 3 years, and I believe even in your case, it would replace your phone with a $50 copayment from you.

Oh no...that is terrible!
I know I would miss mine even though it is just a silly OLD phone that can't do much...I am sooo waiting for my contract to be up too.
Love the new look over here my friend. Hugs. xoxo
